The Purewise filters remove 99.9% of impurities and materials. Each Purewise filter is good for approx. 60-80 gallons. It is recommended to change the filters every 2-3 months or 60-80 gallons, whichever comes first. It is also recommended to clean the boiler each month with Kleenwise, which is made for the Purewise unit. When cleaning, you just take 2-3 tablespoons of the Kleenwise and fill the unit with hot water. You do not run the unit, but just let the unit sit with the Kleenwise water in overnight. This will remove build up on the boiler. The Purewise unit comes with a comprehensive 'Use & Care" guide that is a must read. This guide explains how to use and care for the Purewise Water Purifier. The Purewise Water Purifier is not difficult to use, just is important to use the unit correctly.
