The Blendtec Home Blender HP3A is a brand new model blender from KTEC/Blendtec, which is the upgrade to the K-TEC Champ HP3 Blender. The difference between the new Blendtec Home Blender HP3A model and the old the K-TEC Champ HP3 Blender is quite an upgrade. Both the KTEC Champ HP3 Blender and the new Blendtec Home Blender HP3A do a beautiful job at pureeing and all other blending functions. But the changes with the new Blendtec Home Blender HP3A are a nice improvement on usability. The faceplate has been changed on the Blendtec Home Blender HP3A. Also, instead of looking at a programming chart that came with the old KTEC Champ HP3 Blender, with the Blendtec Home Blender HP3A you just push the menu button and select the blend cycle you want. Unlike with the KTEC Champ HP3 Blender, you will not have to learn what the different blend cycles are. With the Blendtec Home Blender HP3A, the 25 blend cycles are accessed simply by scrolling through them on the LED display on the front of the blender control pad and choosing the one you want when it shows up on the LED display. The Blendtec Home Blender HP3A has 4 preset cycles, which are the default cycles from the factory, but you can change them to your personal favorites as easily as you change the presets on you car radio. Find the cycle you want, hold down one of the preset buttons until it beeps and it’s set. The Blendtec Home Blender HP3A has a 'pulse' button so you can do short bursts of speed, and it has manual speed settings so you can ramp up or down from Speed 1 to 10 and let it run a 50 second cycle before it automatically shuts off. The user interface is menu driven from the blender versus having to look at the user manual like with the KTEC Champ HP3 Blender. The new interface on the Blendtec Home Blender HP3A is much more intuitive and friendly and allows you to use the blenders full capabilities without having to look at a programming guide.
