Please note that as of December, 2008 the VitaClay Chef Gourmet Rice & Slow Cooker Pro 8-Cup VF7900 has been redesigned with a flat bottom inner clay pot. All VitaClay Chef Gourmet Rice & Slow Cooker Pro 8-Cup VF7900 purchased prior to December, 2008 are units that utilize the older style round bottom inner pot. Therefore, all new VitaClay units purchased after December, 2008 will only fit a flat bottom inner clay pots, which have a larger flatter bottom. And VitaClay units purchased before December, 2008 will only fit the round bottom inner clay pots, which have a very, very small flat portion of the bottom of the pot.
