The revolutionary NutriWare Whole Grain Gourmet is the ideal food preparation solution for the true health-food enthusiast. In addition to cooking up to 18 cups of cooked rice or whole grains to perfection, the Whole Grain Gourmet also has the unique ability to boil pasta, potatoes and more with the addition of the stainless steel colander. The stainless steel steam tray inserts over the inner cooking pot, so meat and vegetables can steam while rice or grains simultaneously cook below for a nutritious, easy to make meal. All food contact surfaces are made completely of polished 304 grade surgical stainless steel. And once the cooking is done, the stainless steel inner pot and colander remove for quick clean up.

Make complete & nutritious meals in your Nutriware Stainless Steel Rice Cooker! Mexican Rice w/ Beans (Serves 3-4) - 1 1/2 cup of brown rice (preferably organic)
- 4 1/2 cups of Water
- 1 onion diced
- 1 clove of garlic diced
- 1/4 cup of organic frozen peas
- 1/4 cup of organic frozen corn
- 1/2 cup of chopped organic tomato
- 1 Tsp of dried parsley
- 1 Tbsp of Mexican Seasonings (Use only natural/organic Mexican Seasoning found in the bulk spice section - beware of BHA & MSG in some brands of Mexican Seasonings)
- 1/2 Tsp cumin
- Cayenne pepper to taste (optional, only if you like a little "spice")
- Ingredient to add after rice is finished:
- Top with already cooked Pinto Beans or Black Beans
- Top with steamed broccoli, red cabbage & cauliflower (or other steamed veggies of your choice)
- Top with salsa and/or hot sauce
Place all ingredients except the beans, veggies and salsa/hot sauce in the Nutriware Stainless Steel Rice Cooker's inner pot. Place Vegetable Steamer Tray on top of the inner pot and then cover with the lid. Press lever to cook. Cook for about 35 minutes. Have broccoli, red cabbage & cauliflower cut and ready to put in the vegetable steamer tray. After 35 minutes of the rice ingredients cooking, quickly lift lid and put broccoli, red cabbage & cauliflower in the vegetable steamer tray and replace the lid. Finish the cooking cycle. When the rice cooker turns to warm, scoop out rice, top rice with steamed veggies and beans. Top with Salsa and/or Hot Sauce. Enjoy!
Curry Lentils & Brown Rice (Serves 3-4) - 3/4 Cup of Dried Green or Black Lentils
- 3/4 Cup of organic long grain brown rice
- 4 1/2 Cups of organic vegetable broth
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 large carrot, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (if desired)
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of curry powder
Add all ingredients to stainless rice inner pot. Place stainless vegetable steamer tray on top of inner pot and place lid on vegetable steamer tray. Press button down to "cook". 50-60 minutes cooking time. Unit will turn to warm when done. Enjoy!
Split Pea, Rice & Miso Soup (Serves 3-4) - 1 cup of split dried peas (preferably organic)
- 3/4 cup of brown rice (preferably organic)
- 7 cups of Water
- 1 onion diced
- 2 large cloves of garlic minced
- 1 Tsp of dried parsley
- 1 Tsp of thyme
- 1/2 Tbsp cumin
- Cayenne pepper to taste (optional, only if you like a little "spice")
- Ingredient to add after soup is finished:1 tbsp of Miso (preferably organic)
Place all ingredients except the Miso in the Nutriware Stainless Steel Rice Cooker's inner pot. Place Vegetable Steamer Tray on top of the inner pot and then cover with the lid. Press lever to cook. Cook for 70 minutes. Unplug the Nutriware Stainless Steel Rice Cooker to get the unit to release the button from "cook" (IMPORTANT - Do not attempt to manually lift the lever to warm, this could damage the unit). Add 1 tbsp (or more if you really like Miso) of Miso. Mix Miso until dissolved. Pour enough soup from the rice cooker inner pot into a food processor or a blender. Only fill the food processor or blender half full then pulse until the soup is pureed. Repeat until all the soup is pureed. Enjoy!
Split Pea & Butternut Squash Soup (Serves 3-4) - 1 Cup of split dried peas (preferably organic)
- 5 Cups of Water or Organic Vegetable Broth
- 1 Small butternut squash peeled and cubed
- 2 Stalks of celery cut
- 1 Onion diced
- 2 Large cloves of Garlic sliced
- 1 Tsp of dried parsley
- 1/2 Tsp dried thyme
- Cayenne pepper to taste (optional if you like a little "spice")
Soak the peas in the morning in a bowl of water (it helps it to soften the peas). Place bowl of soaking peas in the refrigerator. In the evening, place all ingredients in the Nutriware Stainless Steel Rice Cooker's inner pot. Place Vegetable Steamer Tray on top of the inner pot and then cover with the lid. Press lever to cook. Cook for 70 minutes. Unplug the Nutriware Stainless Steel Rice Cooker to get the unit to release the button from "cook" (IMPORTANT - Do not attempt to manually lift the lever to warm, this could damage the unit). Plug the unit back in and keep on the "Warm" setting for about 30 minutes. Pour enough soup in a food processor or a blender to only fill the food processor or blender half full and pulse until the soup is pureed. Repeat until all the soup is pureed. Enjoy!

Cook for 60 minutes. Unplug the Nutriware Stainless Steel Rice Cooker to get the unit to release the button from "cook" (IMPORTANT - Do not attempt to manually lift the lever to warm, this could damage the unit). Plug the unit back in and keep on the "Warm" setting for about 30 minutes. Enjoy!
Coconut Steel Cut Oats (Serves 3-4) - 1 Cup Steel Cut Oats
- 1/2 to 1 Cup Coconut Milk
- 2 to 2-1/2 Cups Water
- 1/4 Tsp. Salt
- Sprinkle with Cinnamon and Sugar (optional)
Add all ingredients to stainless rice inner pot, except cinnamon and sugar. Place stainless vegetable steamer tray on top of inner pot and place lid on vegetable steamer tray. Press button down to "cook". About 30 minutes cooking time. Unit will turn to warm when done. Enjoy a healthy and hearty whole grain breakfast!
